Last year I had such a great time photographing my beautiful neighbors on their lovely porch. We didn't plan to be on the porch but we had a tiny window between the boys nap time and when one family member had flown in and another was flying out.
And during our tiny window...it was raining. Fortunately just a nice gentle summer rain and I'm not so sweet that I'll melt. Their beautiful front porch was the perfect spot for their session.
I've always loved photographing people at their homes. I think those images are some of the most cherished and meaningful images when you look back on them over the course of your lifetime.
I'm so honored and humbled that people let me into their lives to document their stages and even more so when I'm welcomed to their homes.
It's very common that I am allowed to visit my Senior clients. We often have a variety of reasons to go to their homes. Class of 2020 Senior Bess loves their view of the Lake and it's also a great way to include your family pet in the session.
For West Lyon Senior, Lydia, her Mom's beautiful garden and their tree-lined country lane were a perfect place for a portion of her senior session.
Some family land (with awesome old country barns and buildings) was a perfect spot for a few of Lennox Class of 2020 Senior, Isabel.
And for my sister, Sophonise - O'Gorman Class of 2020, her senior portraits would not have been complete with out some images at our family farm. Cows, Cricket (the Palomino) and Carly the farm dog. Plus, the awesome old yellow Cadillac.
With this family session we were able to include their 2 dogs who were more comfortable at home and would have been challenging to cooperate at a park.
Having portraits taken at your home is something you will look back on and treasure. During this difficult time I want to come see you on your front porch. Next week we're supposed to have a few nice sunny days. I'm planning to do Front Porch Sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday (late afternoon/early evening). They will take 10-15 minutes at the very most. You will get 3-5 images. I will use my long lens and we will be together...but plenty of appropriate room apart.
These sessions are FREE with free images for social media sharing or printing up to 8x10 in size. If you would like you can pay it forward and make a donation to your favorite charity (one of mine is Feeding South Dakota).
In addition, if you would like to schedule a full Family portrait session sometime in 2020 I am offering a 100% spending match up to $250. So purchase a $250 gift certificate and get $250 free! In a year we will never forget let's plan to remember what truly matters most.
If you would like to sign up for one of these sessions please fill out the form below! I look forward to seeing you soon!
